SEED CPD – Learning Management System (LMS)
SEED CPD is a full-stack Learning Management System that enables administrators, instructors, and trainees to manage courses, approvals, enrollments, and secure online payments through a centralized platform.
Overview
SEED CPD is a full-stack Learning Management System developed using React.js, Node.js, Express.js, PostgreSQL, and Tailwind CSS. The platform supports Admin, Instructor, and Trainee roles with role-specific workflows and secure access control. Implemented JWT-based authentication and authorization to protect application resources and manage access based on user roles. Developed comprehensive course management functionality that allows instructors to create, update, and submit courses for administrative review. Built an approval workflow where administrators can review, approve, and publish instructor-created courses before making them available to trainees. Developed course enrollment and purchase workflows and integrated the Magnati Payment Gateway to support secure online course payments. Designed and integrated RESTful APIs for user management, course management, enrollment, approval workflows, and payment transactions. Developed responsive interfaces using React.js and Tailwind CSS, with Axios for efficient frontend-backend communication.
The problem
The existing learning and training process required a centralized platform to manage instructors, trainees, courses, approvals, enrollments, and payments efficiently while maintaining appropriate access and approval controls for different user roles.

Developed a centralized Learning Management System that digitizes the complete course lifecycle, from instructor course creation and administrator approval to trainee enrollment and online payment, with secure role-based access and automated workflows.

Challenges
The key challenges included designing role-specific workflows for Admins, Instructors, and Trainees, implementing secure authentication and authorization, and managing the complete course lifecycle from creation and submission to administrative approval and publishing. The project also required integrating the Magnati Payment Gateway for secure course transactions, maintaining consistency between course enrollment and payment processes, designing reliable APIs for multiple business workflows, and ensuring a responsive and user-friendly experience across different devices.
